David Barnard Ministry Profile

David was born into a minister’s home but that was no assurance that life would go good for him, nor would the Christian upbringing lead him to a life of faith in Christ. Just because one sits in a church will not make them a Christian any more than if one were to sit in a garage over night -they would not be a car in the morning.

At the age of 23 David was far from his heritage and God. Drugs, and the Southern California live style had all but ruined his life. The prayers of his family and the faithfulness of God to His word reached David. The result was a life transforming experience with the Lord Jesus Christ. David relates to youth through his testimony, singing and music talent.

Over the years, he has traveled across the USA and in over 30 countries of the world declaring the love of God and His transforming power in churches, city wide meeting, conferences, conventions, radio and television. David conducted several crusades for Dr. Lester Sumrall in South Bend, ID as well as in the church Dr. Sumrall established in Mania, Philippines. David was a regular speaker at Full Gospel Business Men's Fellowship International Conventions through out America and Canada with Demos Shakarian. Also David was a frequent guest on the Trinity Broadcasting Network Praise The Lord program hosted by Paul and Jan Crouch. The goal of his ministry is to bring the good news of Jesus Christ to people of every color and culture, changing lives, one person at a time.

David accepted an invitation from Rev. Ray Bloomfield to come to serve as pastor in New Zealand for two years at Faith Tabernacle, Pakuranga, NZ. Ray Bloomfield was instrumental in sparking a national revival in New Zealand. He is recognized as the founders of the Holy Spirit Revival that swept through New Zealand and birthed many great ministries. Frank Houston received his call to full time ministry through Ray's ministry. At the close of the New Zealand ministry David served one year as national Evangelist in Australia, conducting crusades and concerts across Australia. David went Australia to conduct a two week meeting in Brisbane before heading on to Indonesia and India for crusades. That two week meeting turned into a year of continuous revival each night except Monday though out the major centers of Australia. Spiritual renewal broke out and churches saw incredible increase in numbers and in the growth of their congregations spiritually, as the result of the ministry of the Holy Spirit.

The dancing and rejoicing praise broke out in the meetings; this brought out the people to see this freedom. Most churches had about 100-150 in attendance, but during the meetings and after, the attendance grew in some cities to over 1,200 - 1,500 people. The meetings had to be moved to city center halls, school auditoriums. Heaven will only revel how many lives were changed by the power of the Holy Spirit. TV stations took notice and invited David to appear on local morning shows. Schools extended invitations to come sing and share testimony. Shopping Centers opened to do Christian Concerts. It was a move of God and it is so thrilling to see that it has continued and great churches have grown up over recent years through out Australia; most notably the world wide impact of Hillsong Church.

Serving as a Pastor, Evangelist and Teacher of God’s word, David founded and served ten years as pastor of Holy Spirit Centre located in San Francisco, CA. David was heard daily on 50,000 watt AM radio station KFAX and weekly on television. David also pastored in Riverside, CA, Camarillo, CA and the San Diego, CA area. Teaching only from the Bible and personal experience, his messages have repeatedly disturbed the comfortable, soothed the wounded and revealed the hope that is available through Christ Jesus.

David communicates the ageless truths of the Bible is today’s language. The teaching ministry prepares people for life's opportunities and enables them to know the power of living faith and the principles of praise. David is an accomplished guitarists, singer and inspires people to enter into a freedom of worship of the Lord.

David and his lovely wife Linda, resides in Fort Worth, TX where they attend Fellowship Church, when not traveling, and are actively involved in Home Team Ministry of Fellowship Church, Grapevine, TX
